Phishing attack on PMCares Fund!
Today world is experiancing a very tense situation of COVID 19. Due to corona virus pandemic almost all countries in the world are under economic slowdown. This includes major countries like America, France, India, Italy, and many others.
India is moving towards becoming a 5 trillion $ economy by 2024 but corona virus is acting like a huge wall between the target and Indian economy.
As this is a pandemic, to stop the spread of virus major decisions are taken by the Indian government. This includes 21 day lockdown and to follow social distancing. But due to lockdown Indian economy is suffering. To deal with this situation, Prime Minister Narendra Modi established a fund raising campaign naming it as PMCares Fund to gather donation from citizens. But unfortunately hackers have their eye on the site.
Taking the advantage of the severe situation....
Hackers always try to take the advantage of the loopholes in everything. They know that from which situation today world is undergoing.
Phishing on PMCares...
Phishing is the common attack done by hackers in which clone of a certain website is created. The fake website is almost same to as the original but with some minor changes such as spelling change.
Same happened with the PMCares Fund website in which hackers created fake website with only one spelling change. They changed pmcares@sbi to pmcare@sbi. That means that they just removed just that "s" from the spelling and BOOM!!!
You are hacked!!!
Your money for the donation will be transferred to the hacker's account.

- Check that website is trusted or not
- Check that website is secure with SSL certificate
- Chek the URL of the website
- Check if spelling is correct
